I did a Q&A with a group of patients last Tuesday and the same question came up for the third week in a row.

"Is there a difference between Botox you get at a med spa vs. a plastic surgeon's office?"

The honest answer surprised them. And probably you, too.

The product is identical. The injector is everything.

Botox is Botox — it's a regulated pharmaceutical that comes in standardized vials. What varies wildly is where it's placed, how many units, and the injector's understanding of facial anatomy.

A cheap deal on a groupon site doesn't mean discount product — it usually means an undertrained injector working fast to keep prices low. The result: frozen foreheads, asymmetry, and clients calling us to fix it.
